Trustees to hold virtual spring meeting
On March 14, Paul Mandell, chair of the UMCP Foundation Board of Trustees, announced plans to convert the board's spring meeting to a virtual format. In doing so, board members may convene to ensure continuity of the foundation's business while complying with campus-based and state-wide social distancing measures.
In a statement to his fellow trustees, Mandell said, "We ae working now to secure the technology resources that we need to ensure we can bring the Board together virtually, and we will keep everyone posted as details are available."
The announcement followed the University of Maryland's own decision to shutter campus for spring break one day early, beginning Friday, March 13, and extending one additional week to ensure proper continuity of academic instruction.
